Good Work Everyone
Hi Everyone:
I just wanted to post a final note on our blog telling you all how great it was for me to work with you over the last month. You all worked hard, and grew as artists. I was very happy to get to know each of you, and wish you the best of luck as you move forward. We hope this was a good experience for you, and that you had fun and learned something new. A special thanks to our terrific TARC's, they made it all possible and kept everything running smoothly.
Best wishes,
Allan

Nicolas Cage Watches You Sleep
So, comics revision: you can now choose to do your comics in black and white, black and white and one color, or full color if you are super awesome and super ambitious. The final size for each page of the spread is still 11x14in, and remember that border!!! Since this has been scaled back quite a bit we are expecting these to be pretty ballin, ie, let's end this class on a high note and show off what you've learned in the past three weeks. I know that studio time can sometimes seem to stretch on forever, but wouldn't you rather be working in class than working later when everyone else is getting freaky and you're stuck in your room finishing your homework? JUST SAYIN'. Oh, and sketchbook assignment is "backwards."

Allan

Everyone Stare At Jordan and Don't Say Anything
Hey guys! Time for a new assignment! It will be due WEDNESDAY morning! It's your FINAL ASSIGNMENT! SERIOUS BUSINESS!
Your assignment is a TWO-PAGE COMIC (or equivalent amount of work for a series of narrative SEQUENTIAL IMAGES) in FULL COLOR based upon one of the songs listed below. You can choose any one of them to base your comic on. You can interpret the song in any way you choose, meaning you can base it in any time period, any fantasy world, using any characters, as long as it still FEELS like the song and you use some part of the song's lyrics to base your imagery off of. You don't have to reiterate the whole song, you can use just part of the lyrics. Each page should be 11x14" (or equivalent broken up for the sequential pieces). You may do more pages, but all the pages should be totally completed in full color and well-composed. Remember, this is a FINAL ASSIGNMENT.
